Pattern Collection
The challenge for this project was to create a collection pattern consisting of a Hero,
Secondary and Blender pattern. Each pattern needed to be designed to convey my
chosen theme of a frog life cycle and in a harmonious manner. I utilized a simple style
for the motifs in my patterns to realistically portray the frog life cycle that would be
appealing to young and old.

My design process included brainstorming, a mood board and sketches. Much of my focus was getting the correct color palette to accurately reflect
each stage for the frog life cycle and the frog’s environment.

I envisioned my pattern collection being used for items that one may find on a school or
office desk. The mockup I created is reflective of this vision.
